The car was developed in the late 60s based on the successful L3314 series and went into production in 1974. This version was produced both as a 4x4 and a 6x6.

Almost 1000 of them were sold in Malaysian Public Sectors (Electricity, Forest etc.) and another 1000 were constructed for Signal Corps. In 1983, the C303 run and won.
